MAY 2011 NEWS LETTER

TAKE A LOOK AT THE CHILDREN...SPONSOR A CHILD NOW DINNER FOR A CAUSE!

      To share the love of Christ  and to make true the dreams in  the lives of broken children dreaming for a better future for themselves and their family. We held a Dinner for a Cause last May 21, 2011 and invited brethren from different partner churches and organizations. Expecting only a few people to come we were thankful to find out that as people came more chairs were needed so everyone could have a seat. The guests were willing to send help and pray for the children who are in need of education. In this program we explained all about the child sponsorship and how they can help to support a child. Some of the sponsored children rendered a drama presentation to express their gratitude towards the people who serve the Lord through supporting these  children who have dreams of a better future. While I.T Philippines director Ptr. Gani Sison was praying for the children, we saw from their eyes how they are really blessed that there is a God who answers prayers. The kids shared their testimonies on how the ministry became an instrument to rebuild their dreams. Even after the program people who were interested kept  approaching the staff asking how  they could be apart of helping children through the Sponsor A Child Now Program. As well as continually expressed their hearts desires to help and pray for the ministry.

     We are giving our praise to our Lord Jesus Christ from this privilege to help children who live their lives in poverty and to the people who always pray with us. To God be all the glory!

     “Train a child the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

FOOD FOR LIFE MINISTRY...DENTAL CHECK UP!                                                                 

     In partnership with the local health centers. The Food for Life program held a free dental check-up for the beneficiary of the program. We brought them to the health center and there they met their dentist to check their teeth for a good smile. Some children was scared because it was their first time to have a dental check up but most of them are excited are happy because they had their teeth cleaned. They also give away free toothbrush and toothpaste for the children. The children are so joyful and their parents we’re very thankful from the free dental check up that they can’t really afford if doing it on their own. They are also thankful to God for everything is a big blessing for them. From thirteen malnourished, including severe and under weight children, three of them are now in normal nourishment stage and others are continue gaining their nourishment. We continue praying that through his program malnourished children will recover and to be a blessing to their parents and their community.

COMMUNITY PARTNER CHURCH...FILM SHOWING!

    Together with the team. We went to a community where one of our partners church is doing the Feed My Starving Children Program. An extension help for our partner churches in their area. Bringing a big white board, amplifier and LCD projector for the film showing to children in their area. Thankful to God that rain somehow calmed when we arrived to a small place where we will do the film showing. The children are very excited and we can see that they come too early just to have front seat. After the film showing it was time to be fed and take their vitamins. We are blessed to see that program was shared to other places and communities in Alabang and to provinces in Laguna. It is not just the program was shared but also the love of our Lord Jesus Christ to children. Still their program include monthly height and weight monitoring to children and also seminars offered to their parents.

Sponsor a child update

Dear Friends and Donors,

Thank you very much for giving your prayer and effort to support "Sponsor a Child now”, this was new project of IT Tender Ministry, because of your love to God and to the needy children the project became possible to exist. As a coordinator of this project we just done many unbelievable things happen during our case study to each child as we go along the intensity of doing this project was so high and we learned many things from them. I for one cried in many hearing unique situatio and start praying how I can help them out to the darkness situation.  While I’ll study their lives something in my heart dwelling and this is to help them and pray for their transformation and finished their school so that this maybe their tools getting to have a  good life and an impact for his community.     

  Three weeks from now the sponsor child will send in their school and a lot things need to be done like their orientation and buying all those stuff for school needed.  We are focusing also for their parents and child spiritual guidance and some recreation for the child.

   Remember we are targeting 35 children to send in this school year 2011-2012 but right now we only have 21 children to send in school and we have 15 donors responded to this call , we are praying for more 14 children awaits to send in school.

APRIL 2011 NEWS LETTER

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM… PASSERS RECOGNITION!       APRIL 1, 2011

      After a year of struggles, hardships and waking up early, our first day of April was full of  gladness and giving honor to God. A day to give recognition to the learners who have worked so hard. Striving to complete the preparations of turning their dreams into a realties.

     Those who passed the Accreditation and Equivalency test  are living testimonies the faithfulness of God. They are very thankful to Him and to the people who always encourage them to continue pursuing their dreams through this Alternative Learning System program. Pastor John gave a message of encouragement to those learners who passed and also to those who didn’t. He encouraged them continue their education until they receive the fruit of their hardships. We had fellowship with them, playing games and giving funny awards.. We also planned to set up some activities so even in vacation months we can still have a once a month gathering. All of the ALS students displayed determination to continue their studies. Now we are praying that more out of school youth will be reached .

JUMPSTART!...FOOD FOR LIFE PROGRAM          APRIL 5, 2011

After we saw the needs of the malnourished children around a remote area beside the ministry center. We conducted a height and weight activity to distinguish the children who are in severe malnourishment and take action as God leads into helping these children . The product of God calling is the new ministry program called the Food For Life. Each child has their own hygiene kit which consist of soap, toothpaste and many other hygiene material. This is to teach children and their parents about the importance of sanitation and to give knowledge about nutritious food that a child needs everyday. We are still in partnership with the local health centers who conduct seminars for parents and heath check up for children which the ministry is providing. As well as monitoring the monthly height and weight for nourishment levels for each month as they continue the program. This will run for six months and we thank God for a for a very great start. He has placed a great passion in our hearts to help these malnourished children, the great passion of glorifying our Lord.

EMPOWERING YOUTH...BASIC LITERACY TRAINING!      APRIL 14, 2O11

     Empowering youth is also empowering a whole community. Last April 14, together with our partner mobile teacher we conducted a Basic Literacy Training for young people who wants to help children from their community to have a summer learning class in basic reading and writing. It was really great that the mobile teacher gave these young people a step by step lessons on how to teach basic literacy to small children out of school and they are really excited and show their interest in learning.

     After the training was done, the young people gathered children from their community and brought them into a near place under a mango tree and start teaching children. They want to teach children so there are something they can do to help this summer and they want to continue it as long as they can see unschooled children in their community and we are so blessed from their lives and how the Lord put the desire in their hearts to help and reach out children in their community area. The basic literacy teaching is going every Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

1st QUARTER TEAM PLANNING, EVALUATION AND CASE CONFERENCE!

We held our 1st quarter ministry evaluation and planning this year 2011 at a camp site in Rizal, Laguna last April 25 and 26, 2011. Because we only had a very limited time, we do our planning and evaluation until midnight just to get done. We saw how the Lord was really faithful and shown His greatness from the past three months in His ministry as we evaluate how everything was going. A time of sharing testimonies and wisdom to each other as a team and servants of the Lord. After the evaluation and planning we commit everything to the Lord who is the owner of the ministry.

     We also thank God that we finished our Case Conference for the candidates of sponsorship from the Sponsor A Child Program. Although we work hard for everything still the Lord who is giving us strength and wisdom to do it and commit everything to him and still praying for ten more children to be sponsored in this program. And we believe that God will provide for those who are in need of knowledge, love and Christ in their hearts.

PRAYER ITEMS:

   We continue asking you to always keep us in your prayers and support us financially to be channel of God’s blessings to people who are in need and weary.

· We are still praying for sponsors of ten more children under the Sponsor A Child Now Program which still raising $20 or about P900 a month for each child sponsored.

The Sponsor A Child Program will have a dinner for a cause this coming may 21, 2011 and we pray that more people will support the sponsorship program for the children and a successful program for Dinner for a Cause.

There's no television at home

four days now , we don't have television at home, i thought my kids will have bad reaction but instead they make themselves creative and i love to see them study the word everyday including their devotions, prayer and reflection and they put it all into writings as their file. Hopefully God will not provide money for television because many things had been develop if we don't have television, specially our family bonding , i enjoy watching my family  work together at home in our household chores,  talk many simple things but create incredible tight relationship.
